Participative Budget's last stage: Vote!

Vote, debate and participate online until October 9th or at the Citizen Services Offices from the 16th to the 21st.

We wish to invite you to participate in the Citizen meeting to get to know the proposals and decide which ones you want to support. More information on
The last stage of Gijón City Council's Participative Budget 2018 is starting and it will decide how to invest 5,000,000€.

These proposals are the result of the Participative Budget's first stage, and have been formulated both by the citizens and by District councils and Specialized councils.

The proposals will be available from September 28th onwards at the website . The people registered in Gijón over 16 years old will be able to vote online or physically. The votes will be made:

  • Online: from September 28th to October 9th at .
  • Physically: from October 16th to the 21st at the following integrated municipal centres: La Calzada, Gijón-Sur, El Coto and El Llano and at the Antigua Pescadería Municipal.
There will be citizen meetings in the following days to advertise and debate about the proposals that have passed the first stage of the Participative Budget 2018. The people that have made these proposals will have the opportunity to develop the content, explain the project in detail and collect votes.

During these sessions there will also be specialized attention given to those who want to vote online.

The schedule is as follows:

  • CMI Ateneo at La Calzada. September 29th at 12 h.
  • CMI El Coto. October 2nd at 18 h.
  • CMI Pumarín-Gijón Sur. October 3rd at 12 h.
  • CMI Pumarín-Gijón Sur. October 4th at 18 h.
  • CMI El Llano. October 5th at 12 h.
  • CMI El Llano. October 6th at 18 h.
The Participative Budget will decide how to spend 5,000,000€ in investments for the city. Thus, we would like to encourage you to participate in these meetings and get to know the proposals that were approved in the first stage and decide which one you want to vote for.
